Crappie bite is solid. A good number of 1-pound plus crappie are being caught upriver. Bass also are upriver. An 11.64 pound rainbow was caught by a fly fisher in the South Shore Pond. Trout trollers have been getting action with Rapalas. Fish are near the surface. Bite is tough. Surface temperature is 57 degrees. (209) 763-5915, (209) 763-5166
