Crawlers or Power Bait continues to have the best success for bankies. Tackle maker and kokanee expert Captain Jack Yandell and veteran Shaver fishing guide Dick Nichols, of Dick's Fishing Charters are featured in a Shaver Lake fishing seminar this Thursday, February 26th at Herb Bauer's Sporting Goods on Blackstone Avenue just north of Bullard. Yandell and Nichols will give their tips on catching fish at Shaver, but this year are adding a few more subjects. Jigging for kokanee, the expected water conditions to be found at Shaver this season, custom rod maker Terry Walton adding his thoughts on kokanee fishing and Shaver Lake Trophy Trout Project planting chairman Bob Bernier providing a very informative discussion on DF&W fish plants, (you may be surprised), and the SLTTP's schedule for the planting of trophy trout this Spring.
