Wind spoils LV trout bite

Wind is keeping boats off the water. Fishing was good until the wind put the brakes on the bite. Shore fishing is still productive. Weekly trout plants from Mount Lassen Hatchery continue. Striper fishing has been limited because of the inability to boat. Black bass has slowed a bit. Larry Ness of Fremont caught a 9.6 pound trout with shad in South Cove. An 8.79 pound trout was caught by Dee Fujita of Fremont in South Cove with Mice Tails. 9.94 pound catfish was caught from the Marina Pier with anchovies by Javier Marin of Sunnyvale. A 9.23 pound trout was caught by Dave Sierra of Livermore with Power Bait at Oak Point. (925) 371-2628
