That's right, the Island Spirit is departing a whole hour early in order to be all ready to fish when the sun comes up!
We still have spots available for this special run, but they're not gonna last long. The Spirit got into them on Monday, and they're hoping to do the same thing again tomorrow. The Island Spirit departed Ventura Sportfishing this morning at 5:00 am with 19 eager anglers, ready to wind up all those quality rockfish and lingcod that we've been scoring here recently. The final total for the day was limits of rockfish (190) and 6 lingcod. Unfortunately, the weather has taken a bit of a turn for the worse and we won't have anything going out tomorrow morning.
