http://norcal.fishreports.comWe have seen an enormous number of 2 to 4 pound Rainbows coming in all week despite the off and on rains we have had. Just like last week, long gone are the days of going out on the lake and catching stringers full of fish. You have to work at it a little and you will get some good results. Patience is needed however. We did get two good loads of fish this week, as DFW stocked with catchables on Monday in both Silver Lake and Rush Creek and we also stocked Desert Springs fish from Oregon on Wednesday. Those Desert Springs fish put into Silver Lake were about a two pound average, we put in 215 fish weighing in at 400 total pounds. The quality is out there just maybe not the quantity but I know I would rather catch a nice 3 pound rainbow over four or five 8 oz. rainbows. We saw about 15 to 20 nice Rainbows weighing in at 2 plus pounds and some really nice rainbows and browns weighing in over 5 pounds. There doesn’t appear to be a strong pattern of what is working as things are all over the board, but we have seen some good results on Berkley Mice Tails – All Colors – worms and some Power Baits with Garlic scent. As always Thomas Buoyant in Gold/Red have seen some nice results as have Olive Wooly Buggers and Olive Matuka despite the colder nights. Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
