http://norcal.fishreports.comFishing at the Lafayette Reservoir has been favorable lately. Our last catfish plant was on Wednesday July 8th for 1,200 lbs from Mt. Lassen hatchery. This brings our season total to 5,300 lbs of catfish so far. Our next catfish plant us scheduled for Wednesday July 15th for 1,200 lbs from Mt. Lassen hatchery. It’s been a little overcast and cooler these mornings so fishing was much better this week. They have been using a variety of bait. Fishermen are using chartreuse and rainbow power bait and lemon twists, and worms. Anglers have been doing pretty well, especially from the boats, with bass and catfish on the bite – the bass are hitting on Roboworms, Kastmasters and Needlefish lures from the boats. The catfish are biting on chicken livers and night crawlers. The East Cove and the south end are the hot spots for any kind of fish. (925) 284-9669
