Hey folks- The flat calm weather from yesterday continued into the morning and we began to see sign of bluefin right after graylight. We picked at the 25-45 pound fish and then the big boys showed up. It started as a breezer- we could see from a mile away and then it swam through us. You could see fish shining all around the boat. The meter and sonar lit up. We were way under gunned. Even the folks with 50# line were overpowered. The only big fish we were able to land was on the kite and it taped out at 145#. Absolutely a beautiful fish. We tried a few more spots of big fish that didn't react before we had to call it a trip. We saw so much fish again this trip it is almost surreal. These fish are going to turn on and start biting nails soon.
Thanks again to Ryan Herzog for putting the trip together for his guys. Fun trip, great weather and we caught some beautiful fish too.
We leave Monday 7/27 @ 4 and we still have 3 spots available. Give us a call at 6192268030.
