Gull Lake Marina (760) 648-7539; The Fishing in Silver Lake, Grant Lake and Rush Creek this past week has been great. Anglers have seen some really nice results throughout the loop and streams this week thanks to some timely stocking from DFW and Desert Springs Oregon Monster Rainbows helped keep fishing very steady in the down Canyon part of the Loop. Desert Springs dropped a load of Rainbows into Silver Lake this past Thursday with 400 pounds with an average of 3 pounds each. We have seen a few of them come in but the bulk are still out in Silver Lake waiting for you to put something they are interested in front of their mouth to eat. Anglers have seen some great success using a variety of smaller lures this week. Kastmaster, Thomas Buoyant, Rapalas, and Super Dupers have all done well with a little bright colors in the pattern. As always this time of the season, Berkley products like Rainbow Glitter Garlic, Hatchery Pellet and Yellow Glitter Garlic in dough baits have done well, as have all colors of Berkley Mice Tails. Early in the morning and late in the afternoons have seen the best results, as have mid day in the shadows throughout the lake. Also look for the inlet and outlet to and from Rush Creek to be popular spots as those big Rainbows are looking for cooler waters to feed in. Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
