http://www.royalpolaris.comHello everyone; Weather today was overcast, foggy at times, with 5 to 10 knots of breeze. We had a good day of kelp fishing with 116 Yellowfin tuna, 76 Yellowtail, and 2 Dorado. The Yellowfin were in the 12 to 15 pound range, with a few larger one’s. The Yellowtail were in the 18 to 30 pound range, with most in the 20 to 25 pound category.
Water temperature was 71.3 to 73 degrees. Our group fished well together, even our first timers did a great job, catching there largest Yellowtail and Yellowfin.
We will stay in this area, and give it the old college try again tomorrow, before we have to head for home. So until tomorrow, wish us luck.
P.S. We just stopped the boat and landed another 25 Yellowfin, that were in the 18 to 25 pound, and a few over 30. You never know. The Shimano flat fall jig was the hot ticket today. If your coming out soon, you might check out you local tackle store and get a couple.
