We left today on Butch’s Big Fish Memorial Charter with charter master Jimmy Roberts.
We tanked up on a beautiful load of sardines and because the wind was up decided to go down the beach and try for Yellowtail the first afternoon. We saw several spots of fish and finally got one to react and caught a little over twenty nice grade Yellowtail. The wind is supposed to come up even more tomorrow so after talking with Jimmy we decided to stay out and try for yellows again tomorrow and let the wind come down before heading offshore the following day.
We also had a raffle in the galley were we gave away some shirts, tackle and gift certificates to Fishermen’s Processing.
Wish us luck and calm seas we will check in tomorrow.
