Hey folks-

We arrived at San Martin Island about 6am and we quickly dropped the skiffs and kayaks in the water and went to work. It started off with a bang.

Kevin Mattson had the first 10lb fish of the trip on surface iron which was also his first bass of the run! Ty Ponder had a 9.6 shortly after. Brady Garret hung and landed his personal best 9.1 on a MC weedless and Mike Carlson also with a PB 8.8 on the weedless as well. The quality was excellent with lots of 5-8# fish caught in every run.

We had some fun fishing on the big boat as well catching yellows, barracuda, bass and halibut. Even though we had great fishing here, we are going to slide down another 140 miles to Benitos Island and see what it has to offer.

We are making excellent speed over these grease calm seas and should be to the island about 0700. Wish us luck and continued great weather; we will check in tomorrow.
