We left today on our second Ryan Herzog Charter. After loading up on sardines and mackerel we went out to the islands to try and get a few yellows in the way out. We didn’t see as much fish as last trip but we were able to scrape some up at various spots. We are going to go down the coast and fish yellowtail for a day before going back up to fish bft. Wish us luck!

We made a tank of mackerel last night so we can try and save our sardines for the tuna. Come daylight we had no current whatsoever and saw no sign of yellowtail. We went up and down the coast ten miles in each direction checking several spits for only a few yellows. Right before lunch we went back to our original destination and the kelp had started to lay down showing sign of current we dropped the anchor and after about ten minutes hooked our first yellowtail and then it progressively got better from there. We kept a few fish going for a few hours. Good fishing too bad it wasn’t all day but we will take it. We are headed up to the bft grounds and will be there well before the sun is up so we can take a look around and get the lay of the land. Wish us luck we will check in tomorrow.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8030 to get in on the action.
