http://www.silverlakeresort.netAs you can see from the pictures this week the “Big Boys” are starting to show up as we had a number of very nice Rainbows come in from both Silver Lake and Grant Lake this past week. The fishing is still most productive down deep in the water but we are starting to see some better action near the surface. It is no surprise on what has been dong the best lately as Berkley Mice Tails, Berkley Power Baits in all colors and flavors and Thomas Buoyant have seen the most consistent action over the course of the summer and it has not changed. We are starting to see some good Fall Hatches in the bug cycles as the colors of the bugs are turning darker and bigger as Olive Matuka, Rainbow Matuka and Green Wooly Buggers have started to show some good action when you can get them deep. DFW dumped in their weekly load of catchable Rainbows this week which helps to keep the action moving along. We should continue to receive our weekly loads from DFW throughout the remainder of the fishing season which always helps.
If you are a “Fall Color Peeper” we are starting to see some nice signs of Yellows in the higher country in about the 9,000 ft. level and that should start to lower in the coming weeks and hopefully will hit all at once but we will have to wait to see. For now it is starting to look and feel like Fall and we are supposed to get some cooler nights and days over the next week which will be a nice change. I will do my best to keep you posted not only on the fishing but the change in colors as well!!!
Happy Fishing and We Will See You at The Lake!!!
