Report Date:
http://norcal.fishreports.comTrout fishing continues to be good at Shaver Lake says Dick Nichols, of Dick's Fishing Charters. Multiple limits are the norm if you are fishing at the right depth and with the right tackle. Nichols clients have limited each trip since July 28th and he says nothing looks to change. The island, Black Rock and Eagle Point are hot spots. Depths are 20 to 31 feet deep. On the side poles at 20 to 23 feet deep, Nichols is using Trout Busters tipped with a crawler. On the down riggers he is using Koke Busters tipped with crawler behind a Captain Jack's C.J. Dodger. The water temperature is now 64 degrees, therefore the fish are coming up in the water column. The Sierra ramp is still in the water. The marinas are closing for retail business after this weekend. Dick Nichols (559) 841-3317
