http://2838 Garrison StreetHey folks-
The morning was spent finishing up our rigging and tying on fresh Flurocarbon. Charlie held a bait hooking seminar; showing the proper ways to belly, neck and nose hook a bait. Captain Russ also gave another on deck seminar on how to pull on big fish in the corner and how not to get caught in a bad situation while fighting a fish in the stern.
We arrived at our destination and started looking around about noon. For the first 2.5 hours we saw nothing! Not a single fish mark, bird working, jumper, nothing! Then, all of the sudden like a light switch the fish showed up in droves and it was game on! We kept 5-15 going until dark. The grade is unreal! The bulk of the fish is 65-90# and we caught a handful over 100# up to 135#. Great way to start the trip! We are anxious to see what the morning brings. Wish us luck and more biting fish!

Hey folks- We left today in an Island Tackle 5 day trip in search of big yellowfin. We loaded up on a beautiful load of sardines and headed down the line. After our tackle seminar we spent the day rigging up, spooling up fresh line and checking drags. The weather is grease calm, sunny and warm. The stage is set so all we need is biting fish. Wish us luck! ......
