http://norcal.fishreports.comWater is finally on its big cool down, water temperatures are down to 62 degrees. Mt. Lassen last week planted 1,000 pounds of trout at the public launch ramp. There were some really nice sized rainbows in the lot as well. Trout are being caught from shore on Power bait and nightcrawlers. Fishermen from boats are have more luck drifting mice tails, worms, or small trout lures like Kastmasters, Panther Martins or flies. Striped bass are not boiling anymore as the water is too cold for the shad they feed on. The shad have dropped off the surface and the stripes will follow them. Cats are biting on cut baits like anchovies, mackerel, and sardines. (925) 449-5201
