Hey folks-
We left this morning on another five day trip and we are headed down the line to see if we can’t find ourselves some more big YFT. We loaded up on a beautiful load of sardines at the receivers and afterward had a very thorough seminar. When you fish for these big fish all of your gear has to be in order to the smallest detail. There is no room for error when fishing these size of fish! If you are coming out on these upcoming trips make sure you have new line, hooks and fresh Flurocarbon. I recommend fishing a short 5 foot piece of fluro with a reel topped off with spectra. If you have had a season or two on your spectra and it looks a little worn then it’s worth getting new line or if you already have a full reel you can flip the spectra at home. (Wind the spectra onto another real then wind it back on the real you plan to use that way the more “fresh” spectra at the bottom of the spool is on top.) And again like I’ve said in previous reports- two speed reels are the way to go! If you have any questions about the adequacy of your gear shoot an email to the office and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Wish us luck it looks like we will have great weather traveling down.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8030 to get in on the action.

After wandering off a little and catching a few yellows we worked up the line a little bit and it was apparent that the life had moved......
