http://norcal.fishreports.comWater temp is still right around 60 degrees and the mornings are getting quite chilly. Trout bite is starting to pick up more and more as the water temp keeps dropping. We are waiting for the temp to hit about 55 or lower and those trout will be very active and feeding. Nightcrawlers are the only real bait the trout have been hitting this week. They even stopped biting little lures, so drift a crawler under a bobber in shallow water or fling one out with a 1\2 oz sinker into the deeper water. Striped bass are popping the surface here and there in the early mornings but no boils. More striper activity has been happening in the evenings from about 4-5:30 p.m. They come alive just as all the boats have to be off the lake. Walk the shores of the west bank in the evenings and you will see. Catfish are still on the bite eating cut baits on the bottom. Lots of whisker action out by the dam along with some smaller stripes. Cats will continue to feed all winter long as they need the energy to stay in the cold water. (925) 449-5201
