http://www.royalpolaris.comHello everyone; Well we arrived to Clarion in the early morning hours. Around 04:30 hours, we headed to the buffer zone. It didn’t take long for the kite to get going, but after the first tuna was landed, we didn’t get another fish over 100 pounds on the kite. Lucky angler on the kite was Lloyd Garrison, with a 234 pound cow.
Lloyd did battle with this fish for over an hours, but in the end, Lloyd would end up the victor.
We would have a good day on Yellowfin in the 35 to 60 pound range, with a few going over the hundred pound mark. Big fish honors goes out to Mike Gauger, of Seaforth landing, with his personnel best 273 pound giant Yellowfin tuna.
We would only see one Wahoo for the day, and we would end up with 64 Yellowfin tuna for our efforts. Weather today was wet, humid, with overcast skies. We had rain most of the afternoon, but that would keep it cool. Will give this another try tomorrow, and hopefully things will pick up for the larger Yellowfin. So until then, good luck and good fishing.
