Effective Jan. 1, from Klondike Creek upstream to Pomeroy Dam the Illinois is open for wild steelhead at least 24" in length, 1 per day and 5 per year, as part of daily or annual salmon/steelhead bag limit. The Illinois is currently high but fishing should resume this weekend or early next week. Please remember the Illinois is artificial flies and lures only and will close to steelhead angling March 31.
