http://www.ndow.orgHarrison Pass is now open though on wet days care should be taken when driving across it. Fishing continues to be good for anglers willing to put the time in and move along the collection ditch until they get into fish. Several groups report good days catching tigers and rainbows using flies. With the warmer temperatures and the forecast of rain next week, it may open up in a week or two. But for now, anglers should plan on using Secret Pass. Fishing the collection ditch has been very good for smaller fish using a variety of flies, spinners and lures. Anglers report days of 10 to 30 fish, often catching tiger trout along with rainbows. As a general rule anglers will catch mostly 10 to 15 inch fish with a few larger ones thrown into the mix. Flies that are working include small pink or orange egg patterns, prince nymphs, frostbite chironomids, egg sucking leeches, small buggers, and emerger patterns. Other sections of the ditch are also producing nice fish using wooly or crystal buggers in olive or purple, spinners and minnow imitating lures. Green, especially peacock herl, seems to be the predominant color.
