Catching the Spotlight

The Bothell family reels ‘em in! Chris and Wendy camp at Santee Lakes just a stones throw from the water. Chris said he was stalking this carp for about 3 weeks before finally landing this monster. Looks like it weighed close to 30 lbs. Wendy is pictured at the south end of lake 6 with her first Largemouth Bass.
Lakes 6 and 7 are reserved for Campers Only and tend to yield larger fish. These two lakes are not fished as heavily as the other 5 lakes.
Visit www.santeelakes.com and book your lakefront campsite today!
All Bass are catch and release. Take a quick photo and release the fish. Send your pics and fish reports to geven@padre.org
