We've had some mixed reports from the Virginias this past week, some anglers reporting very good fishing and others not so much. Big Virginia and Trumbull are still kicking out some very nice brookies as well as some good rainbows, Little Virginia is kicking out a few brookies but mostly rainbows. Bait anglers are using crawlers, mice tails and power eggs, lure anglers are going with mini jigs, kastmasters and thomas bouyants. Fly anglers are using simi seal leeches, seal buggers, soft hackles, zug bugs, prince nymphs and pheasant tails. It's almost ant and beetle season up there so look for some surface action any time now.
