http://www.royalpolaris.comHello everyone;
Well after 37 days of boat works (annual dry dock), the crew and the Royal are ready to get busy again. This year big project was the wheel house, and if you remember how the wheel house looked, then you will be surprised on the new look. Check out our Facebook page to see the before and after look of the wheel house. Some of the other project, new carpet in the galley, all wood in the galley varnished, painted the deck, rails cleaned and oiled, new pluming for bow bait tank, and just an over all good spring cleaning.
After all was said and done, we loaded our passengers at 10:00 hours, headed over to the bait barge, loaded our bait, and headed for points south. We arrived to the fishing grounds at 14:00 hours, and we saw plenty of fish, but very few biters. Most of the fish were in the 50 to 80 pound range, but just didn’t want to bite. When this fish is ready to bite, look-out. We did a rare catch for the San Diego area, a beautiful Opah.
We are now headed for points south, and we arrive to our next destination in the early morning hours. We will be fishing Yellowtail and bottom fish tomorrow. So until fingers and key board meet again, wish us luck. Team R/p (Roy, Dharyl, Jonathan, Eddie, Doug, Greg, Mark, and Dave)

The fishing is very good, but the Taxman (sharks) are out in full force. It’s very hard to deal with this, seeing all these beautiful fish on the bank, and it’s hard to get one through the sharks. They are even eating our trolling lures and kite baits. You......
