Still Scratching

Another day of scratch fishing for beautiful quality tuna. We drifted most of the morning on bluefin tuna which were 70 to 80 pounds and picked up some yellowfin tuna in the afternoon which were 50 to 75 pounds. We picked up more fish on the sinker rig today. 40# mono with a short 40# fluorocarbon leader, and a 10 oz. torpedo sinker rubber banded to the line about 4 feet above the hook, and fished in a lower water column about 120 feet. The rubber band eliminates the need for additional knots. We also picked up 2 bft on the flat fall jig. Good stuff. We will be on scene again tomorrow. Wish us luck. The Intrepid Team.
