No fish are being caught from boats; most fish are being caught from shore in areas like hetch hetchy and the East Beach. Power bait products are the bait of choice for anglers. Kastmasters and spinners are the go to lures right now ripping out limits. One big stripe was caught in the south end this week. Regular trout plants have been happening at the public launch. Anglers usually start to catch them the next day.

Ken Manstrom of Morgan Hill caught a 6.6 lb Rainbow on Powerbait from shore in Swallow Bay
Cody McGarry of Livermore caught 2 nice Rainbows on a jerkbait in the narrows Eric Zaragoza caught 3 trout on a Kastmaster from shore by the pipes.
Robert Baker of Castro Valley caught a very nice 23 lb stripe on a swimbait in the south end
John Cang of San Jose caught a 6 lb trout on a kastmaster from East Beach Pedja and Nada of San jose caught 10 trout on Kastmasters from East Beach Cayden of Livermore caught 4 trout on Powerbait from East beach
Jacob and Zack of Livermore caught 15 trout on kastmasters and spinners from the shore.
Mike Krigbaun of Newark got an 8 lb stringer of trout on Power Bait from the East Beach Derek and Joseph of Santa Clara caught 4 trout on spinners from the East beach
