Trout are biting on lightweight mini jigs rather than PowerBait. Hookup Baits in black/gold is doing the best, as well as sardine green. 1/32 oz. is the most popular weight to use at Lake Jennings.
Most catches were reported to be between 6 a.m.-10 a.m. or right before close. Trout were being caught along the campground shoreline and Siesta Cove.
The lake will be stocked with 1,500 lbs of trout this week from Wrights Rainbows! 10% of each stocking is trophy trout.
CATFISH
Catfish are biting on chicken liver, mackerel, and PowerBait. Best locations are Hermit Cove or Cloister Cove.
PANFISH
Bluegill and Redear are biting on night crawlers and meal worms in Hermit Cove, along the campground shoreline, and in Half Moon Cove.
