http://www.royalpolaris.comHi everyone;
We are presently on our way to Cabo San Lucas where many of our passengers will dis-embark and fly home. The Royal Polaris will arrive at the dock at approximately 08:30 hours, Monday, February 25th.
This was a trip where the fishing started out pretty well, however did not end on a high note. We caught 84 Yellowfin tuna and 65 Wahoo. Ten or our Yellowfin are over 200 pounds. there are quite a few from 150 to 190 pounds.
We have a gentleman on here we call St. Louie. His name is Larry Eilbot who has fished this boat every year for many years. Larry is a good fisherman who is one of the first every morning with a bait in the water and still fishing at dark. Larry got 2 bites this trip, both on the first day. Larry never got discouraged and always had a smile for someone. He was in my opinion an outstanding sportsman and i hope next year the fish God's reward him properly. There were a few others who also had a very tough trip, yet their attitudes wee always positive. I guess this is why it is called fishing and not catching.
The four gals that were on this trip all caught fish and were a real pleasure to have aboard. The Royal Polaris will be running Whale trips to San Ignacio lagoon, until March 13th, at which time it will be departing on a 18 day trip. For the first Whale, Dharyl will be reporting and taking pictures. If you have never seen some of the photos from these trip, you should take a look. So until tomorrow, good luck and good fishing. The R/p crew.
