ONE MORE DAY OF FISHING LEFT

Today was another day that saw plenty of action most of which unfortunately was fighting smaller fish than we would have hoped for. Two notable exceptions were Mark Haag’s 180 pound kite fish and Tom Neuman’s estimated 165 pound bait fish. We started fishing full force around 4AM but a few of the guys tried unsuccessfully at various hours of the night. The tuna were boiling around the boat all day long but for the most part appeared very line shy. We woke up to an unexpected stiff breeze which quickly backed off and then blew again but mildly the rest of the day. It was again very warm and long hours at the rail trying for those big ones that were for the most part elusive eventually wears down even the toughest of anglers. We have one full day of fishing tomorrow and we will shortly be attempting one last time to make a load of bait. There is another area around where we are that we haven’t checked out yet. We will cruise there during the night as it’s several hours away and hope we can pull a rabbit out of our fishing caps and score big there tomorrow to put a proper topper on the trip. One way or another I will be summing the trip up tomorrow when the action is done and it will be my last report as I will be debarking in Cabo on Sunday with the majority of passengers.

POEM OF DAY

The whole ordeal was demeaning
And the rest of the trip was spent cleaning
Great Whites came aboard
Of their own accord
Giving poop deck a whole new meaning.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

A PAIR OF DEUCES Aha! I told you that the best fishing often comes towards the end of these trips. Today was arguably our best day yet, though the bite was still quite selective. What is undeniable is that Neil Campbell’s 220lb bait fish cow caught today is the biggest on board so far. Kent (Uncle) Fukumoto our seniorist citizen also scored a bait fish cow with a 204. The tuna that came on board today were all sizes with some......

LONG HOT DAY Roy roused the troops around 1:30 this morning to come out and make some bait. As you would guess, we were all bright eyed and eager to get out of our comfy bunks and do our part. The good news is they came over hot, heavy, and quick. The bad news is virtually no tuna were interested in our offerings. We did get treated to many shows of boiling fish near the boat, but almost anything with a......
