Happy New Year Everyone, Today was our first fishing day of this trip. We fished bird schools in the Buffer Zone today. Although we never landed a fish over 100 pounds today, we had very good action on mid grade fish in the 30 to 65 pound range. Our first school was very impressive and bit extremely good for well over an hour. This fish was in the 30 to 50 pound range. It was every bait on 100# tackle. We did get on a school late in the day that was a little better grade of fish in the 45 to 65 pound range. Very good action today, and a good warm up for the rest of the trip. We enjoyed nice weather and we'll try our luck here again tomorrow. Wish us luck, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
