Lake Chabot Fishing Report

East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Lake Chabot is filling back up! The rain this past couple of days has muddied up the lake quite a bit. With a few nice days, it should clear right back up. Overall, fishing has been doing fairly well. Several limits were reportedly caught before the rain and hopefully the trout will keep biting. Across from Raccoon Point has been a hotspot for trout these last couple weeks, so make sure to come early to claim your spot.

All of our boats are half off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays, including Patio Boats!!

CATFISH

Catfishing slowed down quite a bit. No catches reported.

TROUT

Trout fishing is starting to heat up. More and more limits are reported getting caught. Due the limited shoreline access, the East Shore trail has been the hot spot for trout.

BASS

Bass fishing has been very slow. A couple reports of bass were caught but nothing big was reported. Please practice catch and release for bass, as they are not stocked into the lake and their population depends on you!

We encourage all anglers to report their stories, comments, or concerns to the Marina. Please email us at swong@calparksco.com. Please follow our Facebook page to keep updated on fishing conditions. Thanks again for choosing Lake Chabot as your recreation destination.
