Hi Gang,

 

We departed yesterday on our Ultra-Limited Load 15 day trip that was put together by our good friend Mike Boshard. After putting on a good load of sardine, we had to wait for the weather to come down. We had 30 knots gusting to 40 most of the day out of the south and were happy to spend the day in the shelter of San Diego Bay. At 0230 this morning we untied and departed the bay. Our weather is currently ok with almost no wind and just a residual confused sea from the storm that passed last night. Mike Boshard put together an amazing raffle and giveaway prizes after lunch yesterday. Some Avet 3 speeds, a few Makaira 30's, 7 Ken Bush custom wrapped rods for big tuna, tackle bags, jackets and t-shirts for everyone. Very impressive and very generous! Thank you Mike. We ended the day with a delicious prime rib dinner prepared by our chef Kyle. We are traveling south for a few days. More tomorrow, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
