Report Date:
http://www.ebparks.orgGENERAL CONDITIONS
Fish plants have increased recently and so has the number of anglers at Shadow Cliffs. This is likely due to the increased number fish plants and the closure of Lake Del Valle (which is now open).
Water Temperature: 52-58 degrees, depending on depth.
Water Clarity: Visibility seems to vary between 10-15 feet.
Water Level: Water levels are very high at Shadow Cliffs and portions of the path along the lake is under water. This is making it difficult to access the first dock without waders.
TROUT
The lake has been stocked with Mt Lassen Rainbow Trout every week, for the past five or six weeks. Anglers report that the trout bite is slow with the trout going down to 40 feet.
Tanner Zolder of Livermore caught 2 trout fishing by the 2nd dock using power-bait. Kyle Unger of Castro Valley caught a 5 lb. trout fishing right of the marina and he was using power-bait.
CATCHES REPORTED
On 4/9/17 Gabriel Rezendez caught and released 7 bass float tubing in the arroyo and he was using senko’s.
A fisherman was boating on the north side of the main lake when he caught and released a 10lb bass.
Bob Sratford caught a 3lb bass fishing in the arroyo and he was using senko’s.
