Fish plants have increased recently and so has the number of anglers at Shadow Cliffs.
Water Temperature: 62 degrees, depending on depth.
Water Clarity: Visibility seems to vary between 10-15 feet.
Water Level: Water levels are very high at Shadow Cliffs and portions of the path along the lake is under water. This is making it difficult to access the first dock without waders.
TROUT
The lake has been stocked with Mt Lassen Rainbow Trout every week, for the past five or six weeks. However, anglers report that the trout bite is slow with the trout going down to 40 feet deep.
CATCHES REPORTED
Jerrod Foureier of Livermore caught a 4lb. trout fishing left of the 1st dock, he was using orange and garlic PowerEggs.
A.J Dias, age ten, caught a 3lb trout and he was using yellow power-bait and he was fishing on the 1st dock.
Donte and Ray Finister of Tracy caught limits of trout and they were fishing between the first and 2nd dock.
Jesse McBain and Eddie Jimenez were fishing off the Stanley shoreline and they were using nymph grape for bait and they caught 5 between them.
Larry Wahilani and Larry Jr. caught limits of trout and the biggest was 5lb. 84oz they were fishing left side of boat launch and they were using orange power worms and white power eggs.
Josh Gabbani of Pleasanton caught and released 8 bass the largest was 4lbs. Josh was float tubing in the arroyo using drop shot.
A 4lb. catfish was caught right side of the marina and chicken livers was used for bait.
