TROUT

Anglers vying for trout will have the best luck in deep waters. Try casting a night crawler along the dam buoy line or in Sentry Cove.

BASS

Cloister Cove is producing largemouth bass with plastic worms. This week its best to target top water. Try fishing with silver minnow jigs or jerk baits.

PANFISH

The bluegill and redear bite have picked up, especially in the shallow coves of the lake. Use 2-6 lb. test line with a split shot 18” about the hook. Wax worms are the best bait for bluegill.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK

Instagram’s @dark.wolf.13 caught bass and slabs of bluegill over the weekend. He caught the bass on plastic worms. Rebecca Barnes caught this nice bluegill in Hermit Cove while fishing with her nephew.

The Catfish Stocking Schedule has been released and is posted on our website! 10,000 lbs. of catfish will be stocked this season from Alpine Fishery.

Catfish Opener will be May 26-28 with night fishing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 a.m. - midnight! A full-sized lantern is required after 8 p.m. Rental boats available on a first come, first served basis.

Night Fishing will be every Friday and Saturday night beginning Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day.
