Illipah Fishing Report

Nevada Department of Wildlife

Report Date:

http://www.ndow.org

There are still some muddy areas, so anglers should use caution when driving around the lake though it is drying out. The public should still plan on sticking to areas with good gravel substrate to keep from getting stuck with the precipitation that is forecast for next week. The usual worms, PowerBait or mealworms should all work. Small spinners and spoons should be good for spin fishermen. The usual black and olive wooly buggers, small chironomids, hares ears and pheasant tail nymphs are good starting points for fly rodders. Illipah was stocked with 3800 fish the first week of May.
