http://www.gilligansguideservice.comMuch better than last week though. 3,900 cubes here in the Hirsch. All last week we were about 5,400 k. So big big difference. Water has dropped about a foot and a half. That drops us below flood stage, but still big water. Normal flows behind the house are like 350-650 cfs. Of course, spring brings big flows, but man, this spring is something else.
We’ve still been getting on them. Big big healthy fish. Under the indo, and on the tight line rig. The streamer fishing is ok. Lots of big browns and now that the rainbows are done spawning, big bows too.
Around here finding soft water on the lower river ain’t easy, but if you find it there should be some fish. The Glenshire stretch has been the best option for most. Flows are much lower up there than here. Anything below Grays Ck into Nevada is just still too high.
Hang in there folks, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. It’s looking like flows have peaked on the Truckee River and though they might be high, at least it’s not as high as it has been.

Flows have dropped some on the Little Truckee River also. All the tribs running into and out of lakes this year have water and it is a good time to go explore some shit.......
