Sunday:
Big D continued varnish work and the painting crew got the 2nd coat on the
hull. The rest of the guys got the day off.
Monday:
1. Cole is working in exhaust trunks and side access. Eddie is putting
on a white barrier coat and these 3 spaces are done.
2. Billy is hooking up new blowers to add much more air to engine room.
This will increase engines efficiency.
3. 2 welders and 2 fitters working on last hatch plus building a new
battery box with a weather tight access on wiring.
4. Electricians pulling wire to mains and to bridge.
5. Mechanics working on fuel system.
6. Dharyl and Anthony working on varnish work in galley.
7. Painters painting green guard rail and palomino bootstripe. When
finished, they will bondo upper deck area.
8. Aaron is making a pattern to replace a baffle plate in bow water
tank.
9. Roy is working where necessary.
10. Frank & Steve are chasing parts and making arrangements for other
work to be done.
PS..Several people have asked when the Caterpillars went into the boat.
Well it was back in 1993. We have done 3 major overhauls and the engines
had approximately 60,000 hours of use.

Hi everyone! Work aboard the Royal Polaris continues at an organized chaotic pace. Steve Loomis and Frank continue to chase parts, organize jobs to be done and get the right people down to the boat at the right time. Frank even got to sand on the hull for a couple of hours - which relieved some stress. Billy is becoming quite the welder and fabricator on small jobs. There were an unbelievable amount of man hours put into grinding......
