http://www.fishingvideos.com"Today we started offshore in an area of good clean water," wrote Excel skipper Justin Fleck May 25, "in hopes of some early season albacore. Around 0930 we were able to find a spot of them puddling under some birds but our first two attempts at them yielded no fish. However, not long after putting the jigs back out did we get a quadruple jigstrike with 4 first season albacore coming over the rail.
"We were able to slide up on a few more schools of fish, with some being albacore and some being bluefin. We ended up picking all day for 24 albacore and 14 bluefin tuna. We will be ending our trip out here tomorrow seeing if we can get a few more of these things before having to head back in."
Excel will dock at Fisherman's Landing early May 27. Check with the landing for an arrival time.
