Water Conditions:
The road to the Red's Meadow/Devil's Postpile area is closed and should remain so until about 4th of July. Call the Forest Service for updates. Water is flowing fast and high, but clear presently.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
The fishing is slow due to cold runoff and high flows. Look for fish in back waters, and eddies . Midges and a few larger mayflies showing up. Nymph fishing most productive.

Recommended Flies:
#10 micro stone, #16 psycho prince, #14-#18 micro mayfly , #14-#18 pt

If the river is blown out, try midging at the outlet of Sotcher Lake.
