WEEK ENDING: 9-3-17      WATER TEMPERATURE: 82

Bass fishing was fair to good last week, with the average fish around 1.5lbs., although fish to 5lbs were reported. Look for breaking on the surface on main lake points in the early morning, late evening hours. Those fish are on silversides that 1/2" to 3" long, and those who are able to imitate these baitfish are having the best results. In the midday hours, drop shotting in 30' to 40' in the same areas has been the hot ticket. There are still handsize bluegill coming out of the Barona arm, as well as the Kimball arm, and any grassy points around lake. A red worm fished under a bobber has accounted for the majority of the 'gills. Catfish were no-shows last week.

The Bass fishing has been good with fish up to 1.5 pounds.

The Bluegill has been fair with fish up to 1/2 pounds.
