The East is running about 302 cfs today and has been there for several days. It’s fishing pretty well in the upper mile section and Nevada but a little tougher in the lower section between the bridge and Murphy’s Pond. Nymphing has been the best technique though we have been getting some good reports on some streamer fishing. There are lots of crawdads in the water so crawfish patterns have been working well on some stretches. We haven’t heard any news on dries but maybe if the flows come down some more that might be another option. There has been some nice fish in the mid 20’s being caught as well as lots of fish in the 14 to 20 inch range. Patterns to try include: darth baetis, micro mayfly, zebra midge, san juan worm, mercury midge, top secret midge, z-wing caddis, fox’s poopah, lafontaines sparkle pupa, buckskin caddis, zuddler, dead drift crayfish, moal leech, sculpzilla.
