http://www.sportfishingreport.comAfter a hard day of fishing aboard the Coral Sea on Saturday and not too much success for me, I decided to stay in the area and try again on Sunday aboard the Stardust out of Sea Landing Sportfishing in Santa Barbara. I was greeted by Capt Luke and Dane as I climbed aboard along with 26 other friendly faces. Capt Luke gave a safety briefing and then told us the weather had finally laid done and we were heading for Santa Rosa. After a quick stop at the bait barge we were headed to the islands. They crew then made sure that everyone was rigged up and ready to fish, it was a quick 2 1/2 hour ride out as we all exchanged our "big one" stories. As the engines slowed and Capt Luke told us to get ready, everyone scattered to their spots and the game was on. It was a matter of minutes and the crew were scrambling around trying to keep up with chuckleheads, reds and boccacio coming over the rail. They were always there when your fish came over the rail and quickly getting them into the bag. The rock fishing had really turned back on compared to the day before, we limited out around 1:30pm and were headed back to the landing. I was lucky enough to get the big one today, it was the biggest Salmon Grouper I have ever caught going around 15 lbs. It's the first one I've ever hooked that stripped some line. Thanks to Capt Luke and your crew for another great day on the water, everyone aboard went home with a big bag of fillets and raves for the crew.
