http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=537The weather this week has been beautiful with temperatures in the low 40's early morning and rise up to about the mid 50's during the day. Surface temperature this week is sitting at 58 degrees. The hot bite has been trout with many anglers hooking up.
For trout, most anglers are using either power bait or power worms. I also recommend using either kastmasters, mice tails, or small spinners. Make sure you find a shallow sandy beach to fish for trout.
Striper have showed up this week with anglers catching stripers from 22-26 inches in range on bait, either anchovies or cut sardines. Most of the stripers have come from fishing points and rock walls.
Catfish have slowed down this week with few anglers having success. Most fisherman are fishing points and deep drop offs. Best baits to use would be either anchovies, night crawlers or cut sardines.
