The bass bite showed some signs of improvement after the high winds experienced earlier in the week. There are still pockets of silversides on the bank, look for egrets, and grebes to find schools of feeding fish. Flukes and rip baits have been the most effective baits. The other option is drop shotting in 20' to 40’ on main lake points. There was a report of a 701b blue catfish caught on a nightcrawler, and released. Details of the catch were not disclosed. There are still some bluegill and red ear coming out of the Barona arm, and the pockets along the southern shoreline. Meal worms, and red worms have been the top offerings for the panfish.

The bass bite was tough here last week, probably due to falling water temperature and full moon. There has been some action on the southern shoreline in the late afternoon, as fish are crashing silversides on the bank. There has also been a few fish coming in on drop shotted worms in 40'm to 50’ depth on main lake points. All others have also seemed to take the week off as well. ......
