Check these locations: Harvey's Cove [Bass/Catfish], Sweet-water Bay [Trout], Clark's Cove [Trout], Cachuma [Bass and Trout], Crappie [private dock], Johnson Bay [Large Mouth], Santa Cruz Bay [Catfish/Trout] and Bobcat's cove [catfish]. For those that may want to fish for Trout, the fishing has picked up considerably due to first Trout drop in November. They are about 2 ft from surface, add either a split shot or a egg sinker to achieve the necessary depth. First Crappie of the season was finally caught 2.5 pounds. Neon green or a generally neon jig have been most effective. Utilizing either night crawlers [garlic] or Mackerel has been the bait trend for Catfish. Firetiger Flickers shads or garlic powerbait has been working very well for trout rubber worms/shad or white crank bait or black and yellow Panther Martins have been effective for Large and Small Mouth Bass. Side note: Shore fishing has been slow, so if possible have or rent a boat for better catch results. All fishing this week has been slow due to weather changes.
