The Applegate River is open for winter steelhead fishing. However, only hatchery steelhead may be retained. See 2018 sport fishing regulations for more information. Rain last week brought the river up a little and a few fish were caught. Rain this week will likely blow the river out but fishing should be good after the high flows subside.
