The Russian River continues to fish well for those willing to put in the time. With flows at 500 CFS and excellent clarity, the fish will need a quieter presentation. Drifting roe or jigs under a slip float will be your trick. Also now is the time to break out that old fly rod and swing some comets bosses or small intruders. Pete Taylor did just that and found a colored up Buck in all its spawning glory! Nice work Pete!!

The staff from King's checked in! There's Shad in them there waters!! I have now gotten reports of American Shad being caught at both JB and Casini on flies and spinners. Flows are slowly dropping but still above 1500 cfs. There are also downstream steelhead being caught as well for all of us that missed that season entirely!! Clarity is murky green at 2+ feet.......
