Bass, Trout, and Catfish seems to be the most common catch! Crappie are finally showing up! The lake saw 3 beautiful Crappie caught at approx. 3 lbs each. Check these locations:Harvey's Cove [Bass/Catfish], Sweet-water Bay [Trout], Clark's Cove [Trout], Cachuma [Bass and Trout], Crappie [private dock], Johnson Bay [Large Mouth], Santa Cruz Bay [Catfish/Trout ] and Bobcat's cove [catfish]. Trout are about 5 feet from surface, add a split shot or a egg sinker to achieve the necessary depth. For Crappie, neon green or a generally neon jig have been proven most effective. Furthermore, utilizing a garlic night crawler or Mackarel has been the bait trend for Catfish. Firetiger Flickers shads or garlic powerbait has been working very well for Trout rubber worms/shad or white crank bait or black and yellow Panther Martins have been effective for Large and Small Mouth Bass. Side note: Shore fishing is picking up for Trout and Catfish. Small Mouth Bass are now showing up if you are fishing from a boat, if possible have or rent a boat for a better catch. All fishing this week has been slow due to weather changes. Ckeck out 805 webcam for weather conditions and scenic views.
