Hi Gang,

We were blessed with exceptionally nice weather again today. Last nights prime rib dinner was, hands down, the best I've ever had. Our charter host, Ken Rivest, brought on board the prime ribs and a bunch of porterhouse steaks, all are 30 day dry aged. Thank you Ken! Our day was spent getting tackle ready for the fishing days to come. We had an in depth tackle seminar after breakfast that covered wahoo fishing. I like fishing the wahoo bomb when we first arrive in an area that has not had much fishing pressure. The wahoo tend to be more aggressive with this kind of set up and I feel that my bite to hook up ratio goes up with a bomb versus a candy bar style jig because the bomb has less material to hold on to. And always remember how wahoo feed. They are ambush feeders that cut thier prey in half with their sharp teeth and that is what they try to do with your casting jigs. So, always wind against the drag for at least 10 seconds when you get bit to ensure you wind that hook into the fish. Our Intrepid team member Jack Wroncy got a full page Izorline ad in the March 2018 edition of Pacific Coast Sportfishing with the 225# cow landed by our good friend Shauna Barton on our annual December Izorline trip. Way to go Shauna and Jack! Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4088 to get in on the action.
